Hello,
I am a college graduate with a Master's degree, and I have a full time career in law enforcement. For the past several years, I have been extremely interested in learning German. My ultimate 'long-term' goal is to oneday speak the language fluently. I took two years of German in high school; however, that was approximately 7-8 years ago. Unfortunately I did not 'keep up' with what little knowledge of the language I obtained, and the old saying of, 'If you don't use it, you lose it' came true for me.
Although it's been 7-8 years since I last took a German class, I have maintained a very strong desire to learn the language - so much so that I am willing and excited to dedicate my free time to learning. Over the past few months I have been researching various language schools on the internet (ie-Berlitz) and have even thought about going back to college as a 'non-degree seeking student' to learn German. I have no interest in learning German for any type of credit or degree; I am simply pursuing this goal for personal improvement and growth.
Please let me know if you or, perhaps, someone (or some program) you know of would be interested in helping me to obtain my goal. Thank you for your time in this matter.
