I have been living and working in Qatar for the last 5 years but despite my interest in learning arabic with a very full-on job, it has been challenging. My partner of 18 months is lebanese so I am now even more keen to be able to speak the language and am in a position with more time to be able to commit to this now! I consider myself beginner. I have a reasonable amount of lebanese dialect vocabulary but struggle to string a sentence together as I have not mastered many verbs or much grammar yet. My ultimate objective of lessons is to be able to hold conversations , so reading/writi ng is of less urgence right now. I am currently in-between jobs so for the next month I can dedicate 4-5 hours per week to lessons to try and make some solid progress. After that I am thinking probably 2-3 max lessons per week but happy to take the advice of a tutor on that? I am looking for a teacher that is organised, experienced in teaching language and able to understand and be flexible to the methods via which i learn best.
