I am not an absolute beginner as I have been listening to self-help courses in the car for a few years and using reference books from time to time.
I love to travel and enjoy it much more if able to converse with locals.
An evening class once a week is all I can dedicate.
I would like a personalized approach because there is much I don't know and quite a bit that I do know. I obviously would like to concentrate on that which I don't.

Hi,
I'm a student at carleton, taking a year off right now.
I'm planning on travelling to South America later this winter. I just want to pick up some very basic Spanish before i leave.
I would want to focus on conversation and areas that would be practical for a traveller. e.g. food, money, transportatio n.
I would want to meet with a teacher for one or two hours a week in the Carleton or downtown area.

I am a beginner knowing only basics such as introdution and ordering food.
I am looking to learn spanish as i have friends that live in spain who i visit oftern. I feel bad having to speak english to get around when i am not with my friends.

Hello, I am very interested in learning enough Spanish to be able to communicate at least a little. I have finished the first ten lessons of Pimsleurs and found it to be quite good. But I think I get teh opportunity to try to understand and speak the language.
I do a little work in Central America and also visit each year to surf. I think improving my communication s skills will improve the experience. I am hoping to be able to take a lesson for an hour or two each week with someone in my area.
