i have learned some of the basics i just need help becoming fluent. I am learning because i am married to a indian guy and i want to be able to speaka to his family. I have asked him to teach me but he isnt a teacher type person he doesnt relly know where to help or how haha i need particular improvement in grammer, vocabulary, & fluency. I can dedicate at least 5 hours a week to learning. I would like a teacher that will help me become fluent, and give me lessons to that will have me doing things instead of just reading a whole page about the language i need someone who will talk 2 me as well and practice with me to help it stick.

I am currently a senior in high school, who in August, will be entering her third year of studying the Japanese language. :) I can read and write hiragana and katakana, but I am only familiar with only a few basic kanji characters. I would really love to practice all areas of the language - reading, writing, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, technicalitie s, ect.
I absolutely love Japan and it's culture and I want to learn as much as I can, and someday, maybe reach a level of fluency in the language. :) I recently got back from a trip to Japan and LOVED it, so I'm really hoping to find a Japanese teacher that can work with me outside of school in an attempt to improve and keep my language usage frequent!
I am willing to travel as far as an hour or two out of town for lessons. I would prefer a teacher whose first language is Japanese, but one who's first language isn't Japanese is fine too. :)
As far as the length of a lesson, I'm hoping for possibly a 2-3 hour lesson. I'll settle for one hour, but I'd really prefer longer.

We are a family of 4 (all adults)travel ing to Italy this Thanksgiving. None of speak Italian but would love to learn before we go - mostly conversationa l (and to read menus, directions, etc).

I am planning on traveling to Egypt in a year and a half to study danse orientale and write a thesis paper on the history and growth. I also have family that lives there. My goal is to be fluent before i leave so that I can communicate with my family and interview women throughout the region in regards to my thesis.
