I am interested in learning Spanish because of my travels to Cuba. I have been to Cuba 3 times in the past year, and I have been spending much time with friends and their families. When you are in large settings where people do not speak a word of French or English it becomes very uncomfortable and difficult to learn. I am planning to go back in September, therefore I would like to know the basics or as much as I can learn. I also communicate through text messaging but I have to utilize the 'google translation tool'. As for the time I am willing to spend learning, as much as necessary.

I have taken Spanish in High School and feel pretty comfortable with the basics, althoughmy written Spanish is not very good because I have forgotten a lot.
I would like to get better at conversationa l Spanish I will eventually be living in an area where there are a lot of Spanish speakers.
I would like to focus on conversationa l Spanish, I'm not as concerned with written Spanish. I would like to be able to carry on basic conversations in Spanish (which I cannot really do now). I guess that means I need to learn a lot of vocabulary.
I would like to have about 3 or 4 one-hour sessions per week, preferably with an experienced Spanish teacher who has a lot of patience. I also have a friend who might want to take lessons with me, if that's possible.

I have taken Spanish courses previously and would not consider myself a beginner, however, I find I have lost a lot of my learnings and would need to evaluate what level I need to begin at.
I believe it is an asset to be bilingual for work and travel, as well as personal gain.
I need help in all areas! Ideally I would like to dedicate a day or 2 a week for lessons.
I would like to have a teacher who is patient and enthusiastic and nice!!
