Beginner. I have always wanted to learn french, which would be a bonus when travelling in Europe. I intend visiting France in the not too distant future. I work full time so the only time I do have is either late evenings or on the weekends. I am a quick learner but would like the teacher to be approachable and patient.

I am a beginner (one term at Alliance Francais St.Kilda)
I am learning French to be able to communicate with friends who are French and also I hope to visit France within the next couple of years
I would really like to be able to understand and speak French and join in a conversation. Also learn the grammer, but my main aim is to understand and speak it.
I am prepared to spend a lot of time learning it as I am not employed at the moment.
I would like the teacher to be able to explain things in English. To speak sentences and make me write them, and repeat them in French.
