I am wanting to learn Albanian so that i can speak to my girlfriend in her native language and surprise her for her birthday and also speak to her family in their language. I know no Albanian already so would be starting from the very beginning. I am willing to dedicate 2 hours most weekdays to lessons and then an additional 3 hours everyday to further improve on my own. I am looking for a teacher that can advance my basic skills quickly but also focus on my pronunciation as that is what has let me down with other languages in the past.

I am learning Albanian because my significant other is Albanian, and I will be moving in with his family in the near future. I am a total beginner. I have been studying the alphabet and memorizing verbs in the present tense only. I want to learn the grammar so that I can make some sense of the proper phrase format. I would like to dedicate about 4-8 hours a week to the language, depending on the month. I will be in Albania at the end of June for 2 weeks and I would like to have a better foundation before I go.

I am married to an Albanian man, and would like to be able to communicate with his family. I can speak a few words and understand a little, but cannot but a sentence together.
