Hi:
I am searching for German lessons here in Calgary. I would be considered a beginner. I do understand a 'little' and can say a few words/sentenc es in German. My boyfriend is from Switzerland and speaks Swiss-German as well as High German. Planning a trip to Switzerland in Oct - would be nice to be able to converse with him and his family.

Hello, I am very interested in learning german. I wish to learn for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I travel to Germany several times a year to do business, Secondly, I am of German descent and I think it would be nice if I was able to speak the language. I would like to take a lesson a week with time out for the times that I am actually in Germany.
I would like to ultimately be able to speak, read and write in german.

I really want to learn Japanese, I'm still a beginner that only knows how to speak some since I've never had a teacher or lessons before. I'm trying to learn this language for hobbies and personal interest as well as career because I want to live in Japan for a few years or at least travel there. My dream job would be something that let me travel around the entire world. I would like to dedicate most of my free time to my language lessons, but because I have full-time highschool to attend, it's pretty hard. Plus I want to get a part time job so I can pay for lessons.
I need particular improvement in writing and reading, especially grammar. I know almost nothing about it. I'm not sure about the qualities I'm looking for in my teacher and lessons yet because I don't know what works best for me yet.
