I am an East Indian male looking to learn Urdu. I have been exposed to the language (however not that often) and do understand a few basic words, but would still consider myself a beginner. I would like to learn this language because I think that one day my career may take me overseas. I would mostly like to learn conversationa l skills and plan to study up to 15 hours per week. I would appreciate it if I had a teacher that helped me learn using cue cards, word and image associations, and whatever other practices they know have proven to be effective with other students.

I am British and I would like to learn to speak Urdu because it is a language known by many people of my culture and Religion. I am a Muslim wiht an Indian origin. I would place myself as a beginner but I may be an intermediate. I can understand kachee, which is similar to Gujerati but I cannot speak Kachee fluently and I cannot understand Urdu. I am not interested in learning to write or read in Urdu, I would like to learn to speak the language. I am able to dedicate one evening a week of approximately 2 hours per lesson. I am looking for a teacher who would be committed to teaching me to my full potential.
