I have done first three levels in the elementary grade from Goethe Institute, Mumbai. I completed the third level in last Feb. 2008. Thereafter I enrolled for the fourth level i.e. M1, but then realized I need to brush up my fundamentals again. So I re-enrolled again for the weekend course of third level as a revision session, class which is currently in progress in weekend and which will be concluded on June 14th. But owing to demanding office committments cropping up on weekends as weekend assignments or workshops, I have not been able to attend weekend classes since 9th May, and it is doubtful whether I shall be able to complete the course. I am very keen in learning German language as it interests me, and have fairly good command over Vocab, expressions and grammar. My main failing is grossly in 'Hoerverstehe n' where I lose my major marks and consequently the grades, and at times do badly in 'leseverstehe n', I need proper guidance in these two areas and ofcourse in the language as a whole, as I wish to take up this language as diversificati on in my career, probably, side by side with my present career or as a whole after my retirement. I am 52 years of age and work with the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) in their Civil Engineering Department as the Head of the Department. I wish to diversify in my career as a translator or a company contact with a German firm or even would like to take up teaching. At present, I feel that I need some personal training in this language for a few months particularly in the above two areas, and also in the language as a whole so that a good base can be built up before I take up the 'Mittelstufe' and 'Oberstufe'. I shall be obliged if someone can help me out from my present dilemma, as being a sincere student, I need guidance and confidence buildup as my grades take a severe beating due to my poor performance in 'Hoerverstehe n' and 'Leseverstehe n', and grades apart, if I have to diversify in career as a whole, I need to brush up (auffrischen) my fundamentals (Grundkentnis se). I also need help in conversationa l practice. After this basic training in this elementary structure, at a personal level, I wish to persue further in the Intermediate structure. I can give time on weekends. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE, I ASK IN ALL SINCERE AND EARNESTNESS?

I have completed A2 course at max mueller bahavan. I have need to have a more thorough understanding of the language to have the confidence to speak up in German.
