I am a Canadian,curr ently living in Athens and I urgently need to learn the Greek language in order to progress within my chosen field. I am at the beginner level and would like to specifically look at basic conversationa l Greek and grammar. My proficiency level is Intermediate. I was born in Thessaloniki but grew-up in the States and have moved to Athens perminently three months ago. I speak 'Greeklish' therefore, I must improve my grammer and speaking skills for work purposes. I would like to dedicate two hours a week to lessons and am looking for a Greek/America n who speaks the Greek language very well with at least 5 years of teaching experience and has all the 'learning tools' (ie: books, workbooks...) available for the lessons. I would prefer the lessons to be done in my home.

I am in Athens for a few weeks visiting a friend. I have been before and plan on coming again. However, I am getting extremely tired of the language barrier and am hoping to find someone to help me learn the basics of the language for means of communication . I am here until the 31st but am looking to spend a couple hours a day on my studies.
I am looking for a teacher that is fun and creative but that will give me the structure and rules that I need to learn efficiently and quickly.
