I am a beginning Japanese learner, I have no formal classroom experience for learning japanese, and I have been learning on my own. I do however have help from my girlfriend who is from tokyo. I am learning for a few reasons, 1) because it will make getting through the language requirement of a major university easier, 2) to help with getting around japan, 3) to have a new venue of conversation with my girlfriend. I need help especially with comprehension of spoken japanese, and if possible kanji. I can devote adaquate time for study, at least an hour of two per night. I really want a patient teacher who doesn't mind me asking a bunch of seemingly stupid questions to help me get a broad and comprehensive understanding of the language.

I am interested in studying 3 languages:
1) Amharic- I lived in Ethiopia for a year (2003-2004) and studied some Amharic. Now I have forgotten much of it and would like someone to practice with, recall things that I once knew, and learn new things.
2) American Sign Language- I have taken 2 classes in ASL, know some vocabulary, but I have very, very limited ability to communicte. I would very much like to take a class that focused on communicating .
3) Spanish- I am a beginner.
