I have never spoekn any Swahili before, but i am wanting to prepare for my upcomming trip to Bagamoya, Tanzania. I will be there for three weeks to volunteer. It is not necessary that i learn however i would like to communicate better with the people that i meet there. I am a student at California State University Northridge. I am from San Diego. I am looking for someone who is fun and patient and would like to teach basic or 'survival' Swahili over the course of 2 weeks in May and June.

I have some very good friends in Italy with whom I would to be able to converse in Italian on an adult level. In high school (several years ago) I studied Spanish and French.
My only experience with Italian has been in learning Italian opera arias in music school and expressions and vocabulary I'd picked up while traveling through Italy on tour or visiting my friends.
I 'd like to start with weekly or semi-weekly lessons in person. I would need to start at a beginner level because I need a refresher in grammar. And I've heard that Italian grammar becomes relatively more complicated and difficult at advanced levels.

Definitely a beginner - I'm working through O'Siadhail and TYI on my own and via online groups, but nothing replaces having someone to talk to! I'm comfortable learning grammar and rules from books on my own, but I'm definitely looking for help with pronunciation , idiom, and general conversation.
I'm learning Irish simply because I like it - no native speakers in my family. I would love to find a weekly group to work with (either teacher led, or other students of varying ability, or a fluent speaker to help.
