My husband is Persian and I'm looking to learn his language so that I can communicate with his mother who is still in Iran along with the rest of his family. Also in case we ever have children, I want to make sure that they know their history and language. I don't think that it would be better for our relationship if i learned from an outside person. I am a beginner and would also like to learn the writing but am particularly interested in conversation. Perhaps at my home in North Hollywood on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons every other weekend for a couple hours.

I'm Persian and I shamefully don't speak any Farsi. I need to learn because of my family and perhaps a future in Iran for me. I can dedicate about 1 or 2 days a week to learning. I need a teacher that isn't going to bore me and isn't going to embarrass me or make me feel uncomfortable or ashamed. I also need a teacher that can move at my pace, whether that be fast or extremely slow. I also would prefer a teacher that wont inquire about any aspect of my personal life.
