I am an American born Iranian. I do not know Farsi but would love to be a fluent speaker some day. My first priority is to be able to converse with others, however I would like to learn all aspects of the language eventually. I recently finished graduate school and now have the time, energy, and motivation to learn.
I would be willing to dedicate several hours per week if possible.
I am looking for a teacher, who is a native speaker and fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Farsi. I am definitely looking for someone in-person to teach my lessons, so therefore they would have to live relatively close to me. I would like someone who has an organized method of teaching (i.e. a specific educational teaching program/metho d).

I am self taught, more than a beginner, but not very much. I would like to learn Japanese to help with my work, 20% of which is in Japan. I would like private lessons, but I have very little time because I am quite busy. A pair of weekday evenings (for example Tuesday and Thursday) about one week per month, for a total of 2 sessions / month is the most I could arrange. I have a pretty large noun vocabulary and a very good accent, but no grammar or conversation skill. Also, I know about 300 kanji but can only write a few from memory.
I have been working in Japan, off and on, for more than 15 years. I expect to continue doing so for another 15 years.
