I am basically a beginner in learning the Portugese language. I've always wanted to learn the language because when I was young, it was spoken to me by my grandfather. I feel I need improvement in learning proper grammar, and to have the ability to properly converse in the language. I would like to dedicate at least 5 hours (in person)a week in learning the language, and of course more online.
Th e qualities I'm looking for in the instructor is someone that is patient, and quite knowledgeable with the language-a fluent speaker. Someone that is organized, and knows what he/she is doing and teaching. A sense of humor is always helpful in teaching.

I've attended one Aleph class in Jerusalem and wish to continue to Beth. I don't want to lose what I've already learned and wish to be more conversationa l. I have had a couple years of French, but I have never learned any Swahili. I would like to eventually go to Africa to teach or volunteer. From what I understand, French and Swahili are two common spoken languages. It will help with my application to know these languages, especially French. I would like to become as fluent as possible in written and spoken French. I would like to dedicate as much time as I can, on nights and weekends, as needed. I am looking for a patient teacher. Learning languages has never been easy for me and I am easily embarrassed. I am a hard worker and I am dedicated to learning.
