I am a beginner.
After vacationing in Taiwan, I became very anxious to learn the language. I picked up a Chinese learning book for kids, so hopefully I can learn a little on my own and then get some help.
My schedule might be difficult to work with. I am a full-time student, nanny and working at a law firm, so I do not have a lot of time, but I was hoping to get together once a week or so.
I feel I will need a lot of help with the correct pronunciation .
Are you still available to help? I am specifically looking for someone with the Taiwanese dialect, but it is not required :)

Some people take drugs to feel good; I do it by learning. I enjoy learning languages; they fascinate me. My ultimate goal is to learn a large number of languages and then create my own. So far I have learned French, which was very easy for me.
I am a beginning learner of Thai. I need to learn Thai because I am going to live with my uncle, who lives in Thailand, for several months this winter.
I am a very fast learner and very good at grammar and pronunciation . My secret is that I walk around speaking to myself in foreign languages (mostly french). I also spend a lot of time learning on my own. These things made me #1 in my french classes at high school.
I need a teacher for two reasons. First, I am somewhat lazy. If I don't have someone pushing me along then nothing useful happens. Second, I need someone who can answer questions when I can't find the answer on the internet.
