I have no prior experience in Mandarin but I do have some experience in learning a couple of other languages. I want to learn Mandarin because I sincerely admire the Chinese language and culture and I desire to learn more about it. I have no acquired proficiency in thislanguage but do speak fluent German, Spanish and Dutch and have been to Croatia quite often.
I am seeking to learn the language because I am increasingly engaged in business there.
I am interested in grammar, vocabulary, speaking and writing, and in introduction to both the slang as well as to the business use of the language. Note that I am in the music business and may require special vocabulary.
Instruction time could be as much as 2-3 hours a week.
I am looking for a demanding and exacting teacher who is consistent and somewhat of a perfectionist . Of equal importance to me is that, once my command of the language has developed, I also can become acquainted with Croatian literature.
