I'm learning to speak because I work in Pakistan and India a lot as a cinematograph er. Working with local crews will be easier with Urdu/Hindi knowledge.
My father is Pakistani so I hear it a lot and know some basic things.
I require intensive training as I will be soon leaving the country for an extended period and would like to have a foundation in the language to build on when I am abroad.

Currently I am not taking any Mandarin classes, but I am trying to learn on my own via tools from the local library. I will be taking International Business classes next year and would like a jump start so that my language skills can coincide with my graduation.
