I am wanting to learn Arabic, Middle Eastern for career advancement and I've always wanted to be able to speak and understand a foreign language. I am most definitely a beginner I know nothing about the language and very little about the culture. I would like to be able to speak and listen to where I can hold a conversation. I would also like to be able to read and write. I was looking to take some classes at UNT but I believe you have to crawl before you can walk so I think it would be to fast paced of a setting for me.

I would like to learn Mandarin for a few reasons. I believe in the future there will be a strong business demand for fluent speakers of Mandarin. I am interested in learning a foreign language and I would like to broaden my learning background. I have no training in Mandarin, no experience at all. I could dedicate up to 8 hours a week learning a new language. I am looking for a teacher that can deal with a flexible schedule and will be patient in their teaching methods.

I'm in the Air Force, and I just spent a year in Afghanistan. Prior to going there, I took Dari lessons and continued to work on speaking, reading, and writing Dari while I was there. I would like to continue my Dari studies now that I'm back and based in Dayton, Ohio. I would prefer to do this in one-on-one sessions if possible. I would like to spend at least three hours a week working on Dari. I especially want to work on conversation.
