I am interested in learning basic Gaelic (Munster), the language of my grandparents. I am a beginner, but have learned to speak other languages fluently. I need basic grammar, writing system and then conversationa l practice. I would like to take a hour a week as well as create a plan for study throughout the week. I am interested in perhaps more intense study working toward fluency at a later point. I am looking for a teacher who pushes students to learn and has high expectations. I also speak Spanish, Portuguese, some French (used to work in French years ago). I have also studied/been conversationa l in Russian, Belize Creole and Catalan.

I am 1/2 Egyptian and 1/2 American, my father (Egyptian) never spoke Arabic at home so I never learned. Over the past 5 years, I have been interested in really learning Arabic and have learned a bit...but not much. Well, as luck would have it, I recently married an Egyptian woman. So, now I really want to give it my all. I have a MBA in global finance, and know that I am a dedicated student and one who can learn Arabic.
It is important to me to learn Egyptian colloquial dialect. I also am looking for someone who might be able to explain the various systematic approach to learning this language, such as patterns, etc. Although I know the alphabet and can read at a very elementary level, it is not critical that I read and write, but more become fluent in conversationa l Arabic.
