I have taken two courses in Hindi in college, 101 and 102 but I am basically I beginner. I love hindi and everything about it, the culture, the people, etc and I want to continue with the language learning. I would like to take lessons twice a week. I am looking to learn Arabic so that I can travel to the Palestinian Territories next summer. Right now, I know next to nothing, but I want to progress a lot this summer. I hope to take an intermediate Arabic class at university next year.
Right now, I am just learning to read and pronounce the Arabic letters. So I have a lot work to do--but I work VERY HARD! My goals are:
1) Learn the rest of the Arabic alphabet and learn to read Arabic on some basic
2) VERY IMPORTANT!! Learn as much conversationa l Arabic as possible.
But I am somehwat flexible about the goals.

I am at a high-intermed iate level of reading, writing, and speaking and have just moved to San Diego from Beijing, where I was working. I also hold a Masters in Chinese Political Economy from Cambridge.
I would like an energetic, highly organized teacher. The teacher must be punctual.
I would like to do as much as 10 hours per week of conversationa l work, depending on the teachers rate. I will most likely be moving back to China next year so it is very important to me that I maintain and build upon my language skills.

I am relocating to Germany in October. I have no experience with the German language. Although my work environment will allow me to function as I am part of a Global Marketing dept (English is official language of the dept), most of my colleagues use German in every day use. Plus, I will live in Hamburg, Germany for at least 2 years and would like to learn basic conversation skills.
I am available after 5:30 Tuesday & Thursday and am willing to meet on Saturdays.
