Hi,
My name is Priscilla Del Nero. I was born in Puerto Rico but currently I live in Miami. I work for a tile company that do business in China. Since I am working in the exporting department, I am in a daily contact with our offices in China. I consider that if I learn mandarin it will be a great advantage for my job. I went to China once, so I just know a few words. I want to start learning Mandarin from the beginning. I want to be able to express myself fluently and obviously understand others.

I am a beginner, but with some exposure to the language and a vary scattered vocabulary.
I visited Japan last year (Osaka, Kyoto & Tokyo) and I am planning to go back in the near future. I want to learn more just for my own benefit - I love the country and the language.
I would like to learn as much as I can (grammar and basic conversation) as well as reading (katakana, hiragana & elementary kanji).
I am willing to spend several hours a week on learning - both class time and individual study - it seems to be how I learn best.

I know few words and phrases, nothing too much, and i know sentence structure, i really need some on the practice with, im a very active learner, i like to learn things through experience, rather than text book, going out and naming things, or having material to translate is a very helpful learning experience for me. i am willing to dedicate a large amount of time into learning japanes as well as cultural aspects. For me learning the language will help me in my career as an artist. the locations in which i wish to work are japanese, and im interesting in that area of illustrationg and animation, as well as the video game industry, and as a polite note for opening my job options, i think an employer would find it a plus if i was able to speak the language.
