No proficiency in Mandarin. My husband and I are adopting a 5 year old boy from China (Rui Lei). He speaks no English--we speak no Chinese. We would like him to continue to speak to language as well as learn ours. We need to learn Chinese.
W e would like to learn how to speak mostly, but also how to read and write. We would like our son to continue in his character studies and be proficient in Chinese grammar; pin yin and characters.

I am a PhD student at Temple University and am looking to continue my study of Japanese language during the summer months.
Last summer I participated in an intensive summer study at The Ohio State University.
We used Japanese: The Spoken Language level I texts, by Noda/Jorden.
I am interested in a private tutorial session with a native speaker. I would like to meet at least two times per week, my schedule is relatively flexible.

I am a writer and musician, 41 years old. I study languages since I was a teenager. Currently I am using my language skills for conversation on my travels or to study Literature(My German and French is fluent).
I am looking for 6/(7) teachers: one Lesson each day of the week, except Saturday.
Th e teachers should be flexible, since I am traveling at times to make music.
I have working knowledge of
- Latin,
- Ancient Greek (Homeric and Attic)
- and Biblical Hebrew
and need to improve diction
I wish to learn Chinese/Manda rin, Beginner
I wish to learn Spanish correctly (Catalan), Beginner level/grammar )
I speak quite fluently Italian and wish to refresh the skill, conversation and grammar.
I am undecided if I want to study in addition Arabic or Farsi, probably Farsi because of Persian poetry.
I am a serious student and used to intense schedules.

- I have never had any experience in the text of Latin, nor know of anyone who has.
- My goal is to learn how to read,write, and analyze Latin for the Latin Literature and Latin: Vergil AP subject tests
-I would like to enter the medical field and organic chemistry studies... and I know a wide knowlege of latin proves very useful in these fields.
- I have two summers to prepare for these test, but could only conduct my studies during the summer
- I would prefer a group class setting, since these are usually less expensive, less akward, and more communicative .
