I am a beginner student of Arabic. Professionall y, I am a high school teacher who wants to keep my mind sharp and growing. I want to learn Arabic because of the quantity of native speakers in the Eastern hemisphere. I hope, if things work out, to spend my summer of 2006 traveling through North Africa using my new-found skills in Arabic. I can spend some evenings in the study of this new language. I recently tested at level 3 on the DLI scale in speaking, reading and understanding both Egytpian and Modern Standard Arabic. I wish to continue studying Arabic during my professional career first because of my love for the language and second for professional/ academic reasons. I intend to pursue a higher degree in Arabic or Middle Eastern Studies and I want to improve my Arabic between now and when I restart my studies, as opposed to losing my facility with the language by virtue of non-use. I would like to arrange one two- or three-hour 1-to-1 session per week, preferrably on a week night, beginning as soon as possible and lasting into the forseeable future.
I am looking for a tutor with professional teaching experience who is comfortable working one-on-one with an advanced student who wishes to explore diverse subjects with the aim of building vocabulary and fluency, as well as reading in a range of topics.

I am a beginner in the egyptian language. The reason I want to learn the language is because its for a career purpose only and plus i am so fascinated with the egyptian language. I need improvement in every thing in grammer, conversation, reading and speaking it. I would want an hour or two in learning.
