I have two needs. 1) To teach my recently adopted Russian-born sons to speak English. The oldest is 16, and his needs are the most urgent as I want to prepare him for school in the fall. The other is 5 years old and will be entering preschool this fall. 2) I want to learn Russian so that I can speak with my children in their native language while they are learning English. I believe Russian is a beautiful language. All four of my sons are Russian born, and I would like to make sure they do not lose their language skills (two were adopted as babies and never learned the language).
Proficiency Level: My sons are beginners. They have been here in the states for 2 weeks and have been going to summer ESL classes 4 hours a day, five days a week.
Amount of Time for Lessons: I would like to have in-person training for my sons 3 times a week -- such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I want someone who can speak Russian as well as English so that they can help my children understand better. The ESL teachers in school speak only Spanish and I believe this is ineffective for my children.

I have no background in Kurdish, but I do have some background with Arabic. I hope to open my understanding for Kurdish for professional reasons (including work in northern Iraq).
