To Whom It May Concern:
T he language that I am very interested in learning is Gujarati; I am a beginner. I feel that I want to truly learn the language mainly for my personal life (family and friends). I need improvement with common every day conversations .
I am a Nurse Practitioner. I do feel that I have the potential to truly learn the language. I am honest and very dedicated; I am definitely willing to put all my time/energy in learning the language- I am willing to attend class 3 times a week, or more if needed.
Wi thin the past month, I have been searching for available Gujarati classes. Unfortunately , there are not many classes available. I am truly pleased that you offer a course.
I hope that my professor will help me achieve my goals!

I am still a beginner in learning Japanese. The reason I want to learn Japanese is because in a few years I'll be going to Japan with my sister-in-law so she can get a summer job there. She knows that I love Japan so she's going to take me. But first she wants me to teach her Japanese. So I'm trying my best to learn, but it's hard for me because I can't do it by myself. Like when I was taught Spanish I could almost understand and conversate in Spanish. I need to improve on conversation and the particles. I may need some more improving on other things as well. I would give up an hour each day to learn Japanese.

Mingalaba,
My name is Stacie and I have been living in Myanmar for 2 years teaching English. I will be returning to Seattle this September and would like to continue learning Burmese and possibly return to Myanmar in the future.
I have only spent about 3 months with a private tutor studying about 3 hours a week. However, living in Myanmar, I have heard a lot of Burmese spoken around me and can get through on some basic things like time, dates, shopping, eating...thin gs like this.
I feel that my reading is pretty good, but my written grammar is not strong.
I mainly want to work on my conversation and reading, but also would like to learn basic written grammar.
I would like to dedicate at least 3 or more hours a week with a tutor. I don't want to just study from books because I find that it is best to practice with a Burmese speaker in order to pronounce words correctly.
