I am from the United States and just moved to Curitiba to start a business with a partner. I know very little portuguese, but lived in Spain the past 18 months. My spanish is 'okay' at best, but i can seem the similarities of spanish and portuguese. I'm looking to spend at least 5-20 hours a week on learning portuguese. The sooner the better.

The reason why I wanted to learn a different language is because I believe that it'll give me more opportunities in the future, and hopefully there will be a chance that I could visit Japan. And I've always been interested in the Japanese culture.
M y Japanese level would beginner and below, I only know how to say a few phrases in Japanese, thanks to a few books I have. I think I need to improve in all the areas. The time I would like dedicate my language lessons would have to be decided by my father since he's the one that would be paying.
There's no specific qualities that I would want my teacher to have? I think he or she just needs to you know how to have fun with the lessons from time to time, and not be so serious all the time.

I want to learn Korean because after high school I will go to school and hopefully will be able to live there for a few years. I am a beginner.I need improvement on everything.
