I am learning for enjoyment/pos sible career advancement. And eventually moving to Japan.
My proficiency is very basic. I can count to 10 I know days of the week. I can read a majority of Hiragana/Kata kana, and a few Kanji. My pronunciation is rather good. I own a dictionary, Kanji flashcards (c.300 cards), a grammar book, and a lesson book already. I mostly need improvments with grammar, sentence structure, and conversation. As well as learning more Kanji. I could do lessons maybe 4 times a week with weekends. I am a student and go to school from 8am-330pm, available weekends all day. I would like to do 2 hours per session. I'd like my teacher to be a Native speaker and can speak good English as well. I have weak memory and need constant reinforcement of what is taught, so homework would be helpful.

My Russian is already at what I consider an intermediate level. My wife is originally from Belarus, and in addition to spending about 5 months in Russia, I've done a good bit of self study. I have basic conversationa l skills, basic knowledge of grammer, and can read fairly well (limited by vocabulary). I've read several full length books in Russian. My writing is very poor as I never practice it.
I'm interested in continuing to learn Russian to enhance my ability to interact with Russians and to broaden my understanding of Russian culture and the Russian people.
I' m interested in classes twice a week and am committed to additional self-study. I work full time in the Alpharetta area.
I'm interested in an instructor that can work and leverage my current skills in Russian rather than being treated as a beginner.
