I have known Serbo-Croatia n my whole life. Although I do not feel 100% comfortable speaking it, since I feel my grammar is very bad. I do not know any grammar rules or sentence structure. I need to work on many words and sentences. I am going to Bosnia for the summer and I want my pronunciation to be correct and I want to be confident when I speak.

The countries of the Balkans, as well as the Slavic languages, have always intrigued me. I'm working on a case study of the history and future of Bosnia and Herzegovina this year, with the intent to travel to BiH this next summer. I want to be able to converse with my family in Belgrade. I am a beginner having used ' Teach Yourself Serbian ' to gain some knowledge of the language. I have no concrete concept of grammar, verb conjugation or tense. Similarly this type of book doesn't lend itself to being able to converse with a native speaker. I am retired and can spend considerable time learning the language.The qualities of a good teacher is someone who has a passion for the language and wants others who are interested to learn it. Takes pride in their work and wants the student to succeed.
