INITIALLY I WAS SPOKEN TO AS A CHILD SINCE MY FATHER CAME FROM SLOVAKIA. THIS WAS DISCOURAGED BY THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. I DO HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE BUT RECENTLY VISITED SLOVAKIA BECAUSE MY FATHER'S DESCENDANTS ARE STILL THERE. I WANT TO RETURN AND BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITHOUT HAVING AN INTERPRETOR.
