Hello,
I am a 50 year-old part-time library clerk who has discovered the wonderful world of Indian cinema. I would like to learn the Hindi language so that I can enjoy these great films without having to endure the tedious, and I fear abbreviated subtitles.
Obviously, I would be a total beginner so would require a teacher with a great deal of patience and the ability to provide lessons for the next few years.
I would like to take private lessons, but would be willing to join a small class, also. If at all possible, I would like to remain around the South St. Louis area.
I believe that I could devote at least 30 minutes a day (perhaps 1 hour) to my studies.
Hopefully, there is someone out there who will be willing to pass on their knowledge of this most beautiful language.

DUTCH - I am American but I have lived in Holland for 2 years and have the vocabulary of about a 10 year old Dutch kid. I'm having a hard time finding lessons in the LA-Orange County area that are advanced enough. I would like to speak more business/acad emic Dutch so that I can use it when working for an international company.
Depending on the price and distance, I would like to take lessons 1-3 times per week. Weekends and evenings are best because I also work.

I am conversant in Spanish, but do not have any familiarity with any other languages.
I am currently a consultant for an international consulting firm and hope to pursue a career in international business. At this point in time, I am not looking to become fluent in any specific language, but I am hoping to learn the basics of a few languages such that I would be able to get around easily. Ideally, I would like to work towards becoming conversant in French and Arabic over the next couple of years. If the right opportunity came up, I would be interested in learning basic Russian or Persian as well.
I would like to take lessons in two different languages for 1-2 hours per week per language, ideally with someone who expects to be around for the next two years. I would like to spend time on my own doing drills and memorization, and use the lessons to reinforce grammar, sentence structure, accent, and comfort with speaking.
If at all possible, I would prefer to take lessons on Saturdays or Sundays. Friday evenings would also be possible, although not preferred. If these times do not work, please let me know and we may be able to arrange lessons over the phone.
If you happen to give lessons in Arabic and French, I would be very happy to arrange to take lessons in both languages.
I am looking for a teacher who will enjoy sitting down over a cup of coffee or tea and trying to have a conversation in a foreign language while also pushing me to develop my skills in between lessons.
