I have taken 3 semesters of Japanese at the college level and have spent a fair amount of time studying privately. However, I feel that conversation is the only path to fluency, and that is hard to come by in my area. I will dedicate several hours a week to Japanese studies, but my finances will only allow for 1 lesson each week it seems.
(Of the languages I am learning, Japanese is my highest priority)
I have had 3 years of Spanish at the highschool level, but have not studied it since that time. I will need some refreshers, but will quickly catch back up to my prior ability.
I have absolutely no experience in Mandarin Chinese or Arabic, but I would love to start a program in these as well. I have a passion for foreign languages, and these seem to be the most useful languages to pursue beyond Spanish and Japanese(whic h I only pursue because I love it).

I am a complete beginner. I would really like to learn an arabic language for two reasons; 1. for the pleasure of knowing such an old and complicated language and 2. for advancement in my career.
I would need the most help in grammer in any language I learn.
I would like to take at least 2 hours a week if possible and I would like a relaxed but detail orientated instructor.

I am a beginner. I am learning for travel. I am definately looking for Brazillian Portuguese. I would like to learn to speak, read, and write fluently. I would prefer private lessons but I might be open to online or other methods. I would prefer learning from a Brazillian or someone that has spent a significant ammount of time living in Brazil. I am also very interested in learning customs, culture, slang, etc. I am planning to move to Rio for a few years to continue my study of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. I would like to meet with someone once a week or possibly more if needed.
