I am learning foreign languages for enjoyment. I want to be able to speak in many of them fluently, and be able to travel with ease given this skill. I am currently a beginner in all, save for English (my native language). I would like to be very well learned in each and every language I know. I can give 1hr of my week (4-7PM Mon-Thurs) to personal lessons, and have plenty of time to study through the rest of the week. I wish to find a teacher who is flexible and understanding , in terms of my ability to grasp linguistics.

I live in Chicago, and Polish is becoming the 3rd most spoken language where I live. I love that what it sounds like and how you write Polish are two entirely different things.
I' m a beginner, but people who were born there tell me I have a knack for the language, for the little I know.
I would like to be able to read, write and of course speak fluently.
If I'm interested in the subject at hand, I can become obsessed with it. This is actually pretty good for how my mind works. On a subject I really enjoy-example music-I can put a LOT of time into a piece and have it from memory in time. I don't mind spending hours on it. Whatever I do know of music, I have it in my head; rarely written down anyplace.
I think Sundays might be nice because Sunday mornings can also be a great time to drive somewhere--no traffic. I'm up at 6 am, and can leave Chicago by 8-830 am.
Ultima tely, I'd like to be able to have enough information to be able to help immigrants learn to speak English, and keep up what I know at the same time.
I'd like to be able to translate things from English to Polish and back.

My finace is from Poland and the entire family speaks Polish, I would like to be able to communicate. Although I am of Polish decent, no one in my family speaks Polish any longer.

The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any. All...I am starting from the ground up.
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons. Twice a week or more.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher. I am looking for someone who understands why I am trying to learn the language and is willing to be patient enough to teach me.
A: The more the better! Ideally:
1.W hat is the language you want to learn? Polish.
2.Wh at are your specific goals with it and how fast would you like to achieve that? I want to be able to communicate effectively with my soon to be family and understand the conversations around me. I'd like to learn as fast as I am able to.
3.Do you have any BACKGROUND in the target language (level, experiences, used books)? No.
4.How much time are you willing/able to dedicate for learning it? At least twice a week.
5.What form of classes do you prefer? (online or in person, individual, semi-ind., or group classes) I would prefer in person, individual or semi individual. I would consider group classes as well.
6.If you prefer the classes in person, are you able to travel (Northwest Suburbs of Chicago)? If NOT, what is your location (city, zip code)? Yes, but only in the evenings. I am located in Elmwood Park.
7.What days would you like to have the classes (vs. how often, for how long)? At least twice a week, for an amount of time that allows me to learn in the quickest manner.
