Hello, My name is Joshua and I wish to learn Farsi. I plan to visit a very close friend within the year and I cannot speak her language. I am complete infant when it comes to Farsi and I would want this to be a very immersing experience not only for communication but also culture and other aspects. I need improvement in every area. I have in the past taken three semesters of Irish and have some conversationa l experience outside of a classroom environment. Since time has past since then, I would rate my proficiency as beginner, but with the potential to quickly recover what I have lost. I have considerable training in linguistics and speak French and Spanish in addition to English.
I am looking to improve in both written, aural, and oral competency.
My reason for learning Irish is three-fold: academic interest, general interest, and career advancement.
I would like to dedicate as much time as possible, but in earnest, weekly lessons seem most feasible.
I am looking for either small group lessons or one-on-one instruction. Native Irish Speaker is a must, obviously. My previous instructor was from Donegal, and therefore that dialect is the one I am most familiar with. However, I am also flexible in learning new dialects, and would only stand to benefit from the exposure.
