I'm trying to 're-learn' Persian (Farsi/Dari, the dialect makes no difference to me as it's written the same and I can understand between both dialects) mainly because 10 years ago I learned it (a vast amount of it at least, but not everything there is to know in the language). I recently realized that I hadn't forgotten all of it. I can still read and write in Persian, albeit comprehending everything that I can read is another story. I'm probably somewhere in between a beginner and intermediate level and would like to progress, which is hard to do on my own.

I am a language teacher by trade and so have always been interested in other languages. I am an utter beginner, but fairly good at picking up language. The time I have is flexible, so I can work with a teacher to find an effective time. In a teacher, I'm looking for someone who's willing to converse, correct me and repeat themselves. I'm not interested in workbooks - I'm interested in talking to a person and learning to converse.

*Proficiency level -- beginner
*Wh y I am learning Tagalog (and all other language interests) -- I am first generation American Filipino. My parents immigrated in the late '60s and never taught my siblings or me the language. I am also passionate about learning new languages, seeing new cultures, and eventually teaching ESL somewhere overseas.
*A reas where I need improvement -- all, especially enunciation
*Time I will dedicate to learning -- 30 minutes to one hour a day, five days a week
*Qualit ies I look for in my lessons/teach er -- structure. I learn best by hearing, seeing, and writing it down myself, similar to school study.
*Budg et -- none, unfortunately . I am seeking someone interested in teaching for free. If you put in the time to teach, I will put in the time to study. I have volunteered my own time teaching ESL to immigrants and know what it takes and how it feels when the student is trying and when he/she is not.

I am interested in koine/attic greek. I have been studying for about two years. I have completed several introductory text books and have read the gospels of Mark and John, Phillipians, and part of the Anabasis.
