proficiency : i think a little more compared to a beginner as i know-read, write and speak a little as i'm a chinese myself. (eg. heng, shu, pie..; numbers-hao ma; body parts-shen ti; family-jia ren; animals-tong u; greetings; etc)
why learn? : because i'm ashamed to be called a chinese when i cant read, write or speak chinese well. And also because China BOOMING-it's very advantages language for my future career.
impr ovement : grammar, conversation, writting and all the necessary stuffs (if possible calligraphy as well)
time : i just finished my a-level examinations and i'm entering the 2008 Mac, Law degree intake. So, I basically have all the time in the world. And i don't mind long hours (apprx-5hrs) classes.
whe n? : end of July(flying down to Shanghai). Possibly start class in August untill January.
tea cher : a person who loves teaching and have patience in tranning. Teachers who have their own creative and innovative ways of teaching, coaching and tranning.
ce ntre : i'm actually not sure of either attending a language center or a university to learn mandarin. But i definately don't want to having a private tuition. So please advice me.
(extra) : i'm looking forward to attend a class of about 4-6 students as studying with a group of people whom you can practise with will make the learning and correction process faster.
PS: Teachers, you don't definately have to suit the requirements above. As long as you have faith in teaching, i think that'll do.
