Hello, I am a middle-aged married woman living in a remote town in Western Australia. There are very limited facilities here for learning a foreign language and I have a need to have some conversationa l-level Macedonian by September. At that time I am honoured to be Mistress of Ceremonies at my neice's wedding reception which will be held at a restaurant in Perth. You are probably aware that among the duties of the MC is a small welcoming speech. It will also be my pleasure to explain proceedings and introduce other speechmakers during the evening etc. My neice's father is Macedonian and many of the guests attending (particularly some older guests) speak little or no English. I would like to be able to show proper respect and make everyone as comfortable as possible by attempting some of my announcements in Macedonian as well as English.I would also like to be able to enter into simple conversation ('hello' 'how are you?' 'congratulati ons' 'are you having a good time?' with everyone, not only the English speakers. Whilst I have met many of my brother-in-la w's family and enjoyed their company, the language barrier does make it difficult and I would love to close that gap (even a little bit) on such an important occasion.

I can not call on a family member to help as the closest members from that side of the family are 600km away and many do not have online facilities.
