For novice, I would teach in english in order to make sure the student establish firm and solid foundation of phonetics and grammar, recognizing basic and simple daily chinese words and pronunciation .
For advance and intermediate student, the lesson would mainly focus on communication skill, mainly focus on speaking and listening, strengthen pronunciation and fluency. |

Recordo, por exemplo, uma unidade da disciplina de Português que referenciava o problema do racismo. Depois de termos dado uma aula em que se referia este assunto com texto do manual, levei-lhes para que fosse visualizado um filme americano "Crash" com varios artistas de renome. Os alunos asssitiram à visualização da película e depois passaram a preencher uma lista de questões sobre o filme e o seu significado. relembro que este filme sugeria a dificuldade de certas pessoas em aceitar o que lhes é estranho à sua cultura mas que se torna muito importante quando se trata de ajudar "o outro". Depois das questões os alunos elaboraram em composição escrita um dos temas seleccionados pela professora. |

I use controlled languages for didactic purposes. The student(s) will use structures which are modelled and graduated to their level, while the language is actually being actively used. Controlled structures allow me the teacher, to present only the section(s) of the grammar needed for that specific lesson. In addition to that, the vocabulary is controlled and informed to an official list of common, every day spoken Italian words. Thus, the student is after just a few classes able to communicate basic thoughts which are not constrained to a specified and restricted topic which comes generally with the Unit based approach.
