Aloha. I am Hawaiian and was raised abroad due my father being in the US military. I now live back in Hawaii where my ohana is from on the Big Island. My father and his siblings were not allowed to olelo when they were being raised because it was forbidden in the 'new' schools of American teaching. I am a father of seven and want to help ensure that our language continues in the years to come, but I must first start w myself. I would love to learn to speak Hawaiian fluently.
