I am currently doing my PhD. I have two purposes here. One is to learn Icelandic and French. The other is to help people who are interested in learning Chinese language, poetry, music and calligraphy as well as English language. Whilst doing my PhD, I also teach English law (Law of England and Wales). My two favourite poets are Hai Zi and William Blake.

I started learning Mandarin in school. I stopped during university and I have started again. I am keen to practise speaking with someone else who is fluent. I can offer English as a native speaker. :)

Hi, I'm from Japan. I moved from Tokyo to Cambridge, UK, in 2022. I'm an Illustrator/Designer, and I love antique and vintage things. I would be happy to do a language exchange with someone who is practicing Japanese. I'm married, so I'm looking for friends who are female or of any other gender and don't have romantic interest in women.

Hi. I'm Victoria, originally from Ukraine but I have lived in the UK for many years, so I am fluent in both Ukrainian and English. I also speak some French and I would like to improve it. I would be happy to meet new people and learn more about different cultures.

I'm interested in reading and literature, but I have few opportunities to practice speaking or writing, so email or in-person meeting would be amazing :-) Please let me know if you are interested, I would love to mak... I am an older person who has never learnt a second language, but have as a native English speaker managed to help a few people (Russian, Finnish, Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian) speakers learn to improve their spoken and written English over the last 20 years, through conversation. I can converse on most topics, but by no means a literary, theatre or music expert; for example I know nothing about ope... See more

I am passionate about learning new languages, I first started learning French, Spanish and Portuguese during my doctoral studies (economics) and later added Russian and German to my portfolio. Right now, I am curious and fascinated with the Scandinavian languages such as Icelandic, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish and am looking out for a buddy to teach me basics. I currently teach the BSL at the Dep... See more
