I am an American of Sami and Finnish descent. My grandmother was Sami and my grandfather Finnish. I also teach anthropology and cultural studies at a small college, and include Sami culture in my classes. I am very interested in Sami issues and want to learn one of the Sami dialects. I want to reclaim my heritage.
