I've never heard this expression in my life. Pigs are quite smart, actually. Instead of being an example of stupidity, they're usually used as an example of dirtiness or messiness in the United States.
Instead of "as stupid as pig.", in English we say "as stupid as a pig"

l'expression "as stupid as pig" est anglais et non française !
Instead of "as stupid as pig.", in French we say "aussi bête qu'un âne"
