Instead of "ni hao", in Indonesian (Bahasa) we say "apa kabar"

Depending on what part of the U.S. you are in different greetings are common, Hi and Hello are universal, Hey there is mostly Southeastern U.S., Howdy Is Southwestern, Texas, arizona, etc.. (cowboy country).
Instead of "ni hao", in English we say "Hi, Hello, Hey, Howdy, Hey there."
