I wanted to ask you the difference between "il fait chaud" and "c'est chaud" when you talk about the weather!

Are there any differences?!

if i understood amandine correctly, "il fait chaud" referes to a temperature or a climactic condition where as " c'est chaud" is used somewhat like the slang american use of "hot", having an erotic connotation. or i believe amandine said it can be used to refer to a risky situation.

i was taught that "il" is used with an adjective and "c'est" is used with a noun, could someone tell me if that is correct?
