Looking for kind and litterate amharic expressions to surprise my friend
My friend comes from ethyiopia. We speak in english. But i want to learn her native language, amharic. It takes time ... so meanwhile ... i want to surprise her and be able to use kind and ... maybe ... a bit litterate expression ...
i say again and again the same sentence "kanshiga mohom dansilania" ... but that would be great if i could somthing else without asking her to tell me ...
Thanks in advance to help a happy man ...

Is "LION" Anbassa or Anbessa??
I have seen the amharic word for "lion" written in english as both "anbassa" and "anbessa". Is there a difference?
I really need to know if the word for lion in Amharic is pronounced
Anbessa - with the "e" sounding like the "e" in "test" - or Anbassa - with the "a" sounding like the "a" in "talk"
