My first time posting, but it's a good question.
Hey, I've known people who came from, and went to Britain. Their language and slang are completely different. My buddy got weird looks because he'd stepped in mud and said, "Shit my pants are so dirty." Because it turns out 'pants' means underwear.
The language in Calgary is indistinguishable from all of the places in the USA I've been to.
Most slang that'd be different refers to alcohol or money, or local geography.
