I am a 21 year old girl who is wanting to learn to speak fluent Lao and Thai!
Hello, I go to college in Iowa (in the United States) and I am wanting to learn about Lao and Thai. My dad's side of the family is Laotian and I know nothing about the culture or language. I am hoping to learn so that I can eventually speak fluent Lao and be able to communicate with my family! I am also hoping to go to Thailand to visit my grandma and I would like to be able to talk to people and understand what they are saying. I took Spanish in high school but forgot most of it because I didn't have anyone to talk to...I would like to brush up on Spanish as well! Can anyone help me out? I know NOTHING about Thai or Lao so I don't know where/how to begin! Spanish, I remember a little bit but would like to talk to people to learn more about it!
