A Bear Walks Into a Bar...
A gorilla walks into a bar and asks for a beer. The bartender says, "$20 please." The gorilla pays his tab. The bartender says, "Say, we don't get many talking gorilla here." The gorilla says, "At $20 a beer I wouldn't think so." :D

Here are some American-English notes about the joke. The electric company sends you a "bill". The waiter at a restaurant hands you a "check". The bartender sets up a "tab" and you pay it when you are done drinking.

Now I will attempt to translate the joke in French. Please tell me what I get wrong. Most languages live, breathe and change with current trends. Make sure that I'm aware of current trends, please.

Also, in Standard American English (SAL) we tend to tell jokes in the most pure, present tense. I'm not sure why but when a joke goes on for a long time, it makes it funnier.
