Need Help with Norwegian
Hei,
I'm a 14 year old female from england on a regular member account (so unable to message others, as I'm not gold) and reccently joined here. So, hallo :). But I'd like to know any norwegian (bokmal) slang that anyone knows, just general words used about and that can be used in informal conversation. I intend to either move to Kristiansand or Oslo when I move to norway (just over a year) so terms used around there would be of great help! :)

Thanks,
Cas

Hi Cas!

I'm from Oslo and can help you with some expressions from around here. There are a couple of expressions that you hear A LOT when kids your age speak around here and those are:

- Ikke sant = a fill in word that means "like" or "you know".
- Lissom = a fill in word that is being used in kind of the same way as Ikke sant.
- Seriøst? = are you serious?
- Kødda = I was just kidding around. Not a nice word among older Norwegians, as it's origin here is derived from a part of the male body... ; ) But it is used ALL the time among younger kids and people my age.

I'll think if I can come up with some other expressions as well : )
